- FLUX TABLE – Milan Design Week 2026
This project brings together DAIKAN, a world-leading company in sign manufacturing; 130 (ONE THIRTY), a design brand proposing innovative three-dimensional structures; and FEEL GOOD CREATION (FGC), a firm specializing in CMF design, for a collaborative exhibition at Milan Design Week 2026. At the heart of this exhibition is a new form of metal expression called “FLUX METAL™︎” Although it is metal, it appears to flow. We have established this phenomenon itself as a material expression. The CMF design studio, FGC, was the first to recognize the potential of this expression. It was discovered that when the cross-section of this material—which has virtually no functional advantages and has rarely been utilized until now—is mirror-polished, it reveals a smooth, liquid-like appearance. However, because the cross-section shifts during the polishing process, a uniform finish cannot be achieved through machining alone. The final stage is entrusted to the micron-level handwork of skilled craftsmen at Daikan. This is an unprecedented form of metal expression made possible only through the fusion of digital processing and time-honored craftsmanship.
